About Kristina
As a native to Florida, Kristina remained in Florida earning her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and double minor in Biology and Physical Education in 1992. Utilizing these three areas of study, Kristina’s career set forth for over 25 years in medical administration and business development for two of the largest healthcare corporations in the United States. Kristina was successful and had everything she wanted yet was always overwhelmed and “stressed out”. Practicing yoga as a favorite past time on and off since the 1990’s, it was on October 6, 2009 when Kristina “woke” up in shavasana pose. Kristina wanted to share this gift she found on the mat with others. After completing her teacher training in 2011 from an accredited yoga school, Kristina could not get enough yoga practicing 90-minutes sessions six days a week simply to improve her form, expand mentally and physically, cease overthinking and fulfill her sleep. Kristina believed yoga would bring her instant clarity during her newly found journey, yet she was wrong.
Practicing something new came with its challenges especially when practicing the definition of yoga: the union of the mind, body, and soul. Kristina’s repressed emotions began to surface, physical injury prevented getting into some poses and turning off the chitter chatter in her mind felt like self-interrogation primarily when she constantly compared herself to other yogis. Kristina pressed on realizing first that yoga is a practice you make your own. Yoga instructors serve as a tool for guidance through a moving meditation of the self. The rewards yoga offers is astounding self-expansion, growth, and contentment when an individual truly listens to their body, releases mental recordings, and just allows self-expression. Kristina believes it is our innate birthright to be and have everything our heart desires and today, she has dedicated herself to guide and provide the tools necessary for energetic shift for others through the practice of yoga.
